Why plants choose eManage over a generic ERP

Plants choose eManage over a generic ERP because each of its 12 editions ships with the masters, documents and controls of one trade, it is implemented on site by eManage's own engineers from Ludhiana with a named support engineer, and GST e-invoice, e-way bill and ITC-04 come from the same entries as stock and dispatch.

A generic ERP has to be told what a greige roll, a heat number or a piece-rate slip is. eManage editions already know, and the people who implement them have stood at the machine.

SIX REASONS

Six things that make eManage different

Six things owners tell us made the difference, in the order they usually mention them.

An edition, not a blank ERP

Garment, knitting, dyeing, fastener and the rest ship with their own masters, routings and reports. Configuration starts from your trade, not from zero.

Our engineers, your floor

The person who studies your process configures the system and trains your staff on site. No reseller, no hand-off.

Support you can call

A named engineer on phone and WhatsApp, and a visit when a process changes.

GST inside the document

E-invoice, e-way bill, GSTR-1 and ITC-04 come from the same sale, purchase and job-work entries. Nothing is retyped.

Your print formats

Invoice, challan, packing list and test certificate printed the way your customers, transporters and inspectors expect.

Grow without migrating

Add a unit, a company or a second edition on the same database and chart of accounts.

BEFORE AND AFTER

Your first quarter on eManage

Six questions an owner asks every day, answered the way a plant on registers and Excel answers them, and the way a plant on eManage does.

Registers and Excel compared with eManage
Question Registers and Excel On eManage
Order status Phone calls to the floor supervisor Stage-wise WIP per order on the owner's phone
Stock Register plus a monthly physical count Lot, roll and heat-wise stock updated at the weigh scale
Wages Piece-rate worked out in Excel at month end Operator output from production entries, wages computed nightly
Job work Challans in a file, shortages found late Party-wise material out, in and shortage, ITC-04 ready
GST Accountant re-enters invoices in Tally E-invoice and returns from the dispatch entry
Costing Known at year end, if at all Estimated versus actual per order, batch or part
COMPARED

eManage vs a generic ERP or Tally

A generic ERP can be made to fit; an accounting package cannot run the floor. The table shows where the difference sits.

eManage compared with generic ERP and accounting packages
Point eManage edition Generic ERP Accounting package
Masters and documents Built for the trade: KPO, shade lot, heat number, job-work challan Generic; configured by consultants at a cost Accounting only; no production or stock by lot
Who implements eManage's own engineers, on site from Ludhiana Partner or reseller, hand-off after sign-off Your accountant or a local dealer
Support Named engineer who knows your plant Helpdesk, ticket based Dealer dependent
GST, e-invoice, ITC-04 From the dispatch and job-work entries Localisation pack, often separate Yes for invoices; no job-work stock link
Piece-rate wages From production entries, nightly Custom development Not covered

FAQ

eManage compared with what you run today

More questions on pricing, hosting and support are in the full FAQ.

How is eManage different from Tally or Busy?

Tally and Busy are accounting packages. eManage runs the plant: orders, planning, production, quality, stock and job work, with the accounts and GST generated from those transactions. Many clients keep Tally for a quarter and retire it after the first GST filing from eManage.

Why not a large international ERP?

They can be configured for an Indian textile or engineering unit, but the configuration is the cost. eManage editions already contain piece-rate, job-work challans, shade lots, heat numbers and ITC-04, and our own team implements them from Ludhiana.

What if our process is unusual?

The process study in week one lists every document and register you use. Formats and routings are configured to match. Where something is genuinely new, we build it and it stays in the product.

Can a group with two different trades run one eManage?

Yes. A unit that knits, dyes and stitches runs the Knitting, Dyeing and Garment editions on one database and one chart of accounts. Stock moves between the three as internal transfers or job-work challans, and the owner sees one set of reports. The same applies to a forging shop that also machines and plates.
